Matrouh Parliamentary candidate dies in a car accident

MATROUH: People's Assembly candidate Abd Rabu Omar Abdel Hamid died in a car accident after his car overturned while driving back from an electoral tour in the city of Saloum.
The candidate's car overturned west of Sedi Brani, east of the village of Bakbak.
Abdel Hamid was a former member of People's Assembly of 2010.
Some residents tried to take him out of the car but he expired before reaching the ambulance.
Residents refused to transfer him to a hospital in the ambulance vehicle, and they returned his body back to Saloum, where much of his family lives.
He was running as an independent.
