Egyptian Mineral Body announces phosphate production

The Egyptian General Body for Mineral Resources today announced a phosphate extraction program to begin on January 1 in Ganoub al-Wady and al-Sebaye'ea, among other places.
Head of the Body Fekry Youssif today highlighted the importance of phosphate manufacturing.
Phosphate is used in manure, insecticides and the brick industry. Key areas in the Arab world for phosphate production include Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Iraq.
