Chairman of the Supreme Electoral Committee (SEC) Abdel Moez Ibrahim announced the results of the first round of parliamentary elections that took place in nine Egyptian governorates on November 28 and 29. The Freedom and Justice Party received the highest number of votes, more than three million votes followed by Al-Nour Salafi Party, with more than 2 million votes while the Egyptian Bloc came in third place, with over one million votes. Al-Wafd Party came in fourth place with 690,771 votes followed by Al-Wasat Party in fifth place with 415,059 votes. The Revolution Continues Coalition came in sixth place with 335,000 votes.
