Some Palestinian factions have been called by Egypt for bilateral meetings with Egyptian officials in Cairo to reactivate Palestinian reconciliation and to discuss the required mechanisms to implement it. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said that Cairo called them for a meeting on Dec. 5 to discuss the ways to implement the Palestinian reconciliation agreement drafted in Cairo on May 4. Kayed al-Ghool, member of the front, said that they would offer a number of proposals during their meeting with the Egyptian officials. He expressed appreciation for the national role that Egypt plays to serve the Palestinians. He added that the Palestinians should draft a national strategy through achieving political partnership "We should take into account the political side in dealing with the reconciliation," he said.
