CAIRO: In a meeting between the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Samy Anan, and political powers Tuesday, the Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces vowed to fulfill certain demands including: 1. The formation a national salvation government that can achieve the January 25 Revolution's objectives. 2. Conducting parliamentary elections on schedule. 3. Setting a timetable to hand over power to a president elected freely and fairly by all Egyptians no later than the beginning of July 2012. 4. Stopping violence against demonstrators and avoiding any clashes between demonstrators and security forces. 5. Guaranteeing the right of peaceful demonstration to all people provided that it does not conflict with traffic movement or affect public and private entities. 6. Releasing immediately all those arrested or detained Saturday and during subsequent incidents. 7. Treating those injured in the revolution at the expenditure of the State and compensating the martyrs' relatives. 8. Investigating the perpetrators of these incidents and referring them to an immediate investigation and trial. The meeting was attended by Amr Moussa, Mohamed Selim al-Awa, El-Sayyed el-Badawy of the Al-Wafd Party, Mohamed El-Morsy of the Freedom and Justice Party, Mohamed Abul Ghar of the Egyptian Democratic Party, Abu el-Ela Madi of Wasat Party, Emad Abdel Ghafour of the al-Nour Party, Mohammed Al-Kamel of The Democratic Front Party and representatives of the military council.
