Tantawi refers suspects to public, not military, prosecutors

The head of Supreme Council of Armed Forces, Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, will refer all those accused in involvement in clashes in Tahrir Square this weekend and October's Maspiro clashes to public prosecution, instead of the military tribunals that the council has relied on in the past.
The decision was announced in the council's Statement 82, which was posted on the council's Facebook page Tuesday.
