CAIRO: There is conflicting news whether the resignation of Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's government has been accepted or not along with the consideration of forming a new government, according to military sources. Members of Egypt's ruling military council are holding a closed meeting for intensified communications with all political powers to form a new government to rescue the status quo, sources added. Meanwhile, Egyptian Minister of Information denied the military council accepted the government's resignation, adding the government is still practicing its duties.
