CAIRO: Qasr el-Nil prosecution on Monday ordered the release of 67 protesters detained in Tahrir Square during clashes with security forces that began Saturday. In related news, security forces arrested 39 protesters on Monday during the ongoing clashes in downtown Cairo. The arrested citizens denied all accusations against them. Some said they were on their way to private lessons, others that they were shopping in the downtown area when they smelled the tear gas and ran, and were consequently arrested by security forces. Others said they were only in Tahrir Square to see what was happening.
