In Video: Assistant Military Region claims thugs killed Tahrir demonstrators

Assistant Commander of the Central Military area who Abbas assured the armed forces that arrived at Tahrir Square coordinated with chairman of Egypt's ruling military council Hussein Tanatwi and Minister of Interior Mansour al-Essawi to secure the Ministry of Interior building from any attacks.
Abbas said the thugs are the ones who killed the protestors in Tahrir Square, denying any accusations of the police and armed forces.
“We are ready to secure Tahrir Square and the protestors inside it, although we see that closing the square now will cause losses to shop owners there,” he added.
Abbas stressed on the military council's commitment to roadmaps to transfer power to an elected civilian government.
