Youm7 learned that the Council of Ministers' meeting Sunday was characterized by division and differences in opinion regarding Ali el-Selmy's constitutional principles document, which was rejected by the Salafis and the Muslim Brotherhood. A source at Council of Ministers told Youm7 that Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Aboul Naga rejected repealing the document. The Ministers of Education, Information, and Tourism supported Aboul Naga's opinion, while Minister of Finance Hazem al-Beblawy and Minister of Irrigation Hisham Kandil refused the document. Prime Minister Essam Sharaf told the participants in the meeting that he found himself in a corner where he was forced to defend the document after it was approved by the government. The source said that Sharaf's opinion was that the document was not appropriate at this time and the constitution should be put first.
