CAIRO: Egyptian demonstrators from Abdel Moneim Reyad and elsewhere are once again streaming into Tahrir Square after Central Security Forces retreated from their position in the central garden. Several political movements, including the April 6 Youth Movement, announced their intention to occupy the Square. “Members of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) are joining the demonstrators in Tahrir Square,” said General Coordinator of the FJP Mohamed Awad. “We are calling for the dismissal of Egyptian Interior Minister Mansour el-Issawy,” he continued, adding that he expects the number of demonstrators to increase. He also accused the ruling military council and the interior ministry of trying to suppress the January 25 Revolution and torpedo the upcoming elections. Likely Egyptian presidential candidate Hazem Salah Abu Ismail today announced via Facebook that he had cancelled his lecture and would instead attend the demonstrations in Tahrir Square. The Free Front for Peaceful Change also announced that they had joined demonstrators in Tahrir Square and will participate in the sit-in. Chants of “Don't Be Afraid” and “Say The Military Should Leave” echoed through the Square.
