Egyptian media reported the events of the Friday of Only Demand. Poet Sayed Hegab told Youm7 the Egyptian January 25 Revolution is a historic accumulation for Egyptians and intellectuals since Refaa el-Tahtawy. Chairman of Damietta Port Ibrahim Folayfel warned in his interview with Al-Ahram of dangerous repercussions if Damietta Port continued its closure. He mentioned some repercussions such as ships escape to alternative ports, considering Damietta Port as one of the dangerous and unsecured ports worldwide. Youm7: Great Egyptian poet Sayed Hegab said in his interview with Youm7 the Egyptian January 25 Revolution has a special nature and spirit concerning its mechanisms, mass crowds who participated in the demonstrations and slogans they carried. He ensured the revolution is like any other revolution such as good citizens arousing it and opportunists stealing it. Hegab added one of the opportunists were supporters of Egypt's first lady Suzanne Mubarak's but he appeared in the media and claimed he was victim of the former regime. He assured the revolution started with the appearance of the succession regime and with the appearance of Kefaya Movement, which opposed the former regime. Al-Ahram: Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Abdallah Ghorab said they used naval forces to transport food to workers of the MOPCO plant in Damietta, by motorboats of the Armed forces. He explained that what is taking place in the port of Damietta and in MOPCO plant is a deliberate destruction to the national economy. Chairman of Damietta Port Ibrahim Folayfel warned of dangerous repercussions if the port remained closed. Ghorab added MOBCO is one of nine factories in the world, which had all environmental and industrial approvals. A member of the professors' board at the Faculty of Medicine in U.S. University of Harvard said the Star of Egypt Organization is holding a new initiative under the slogan ‘Creative thoughts for a bright Egyptian future.' The initiative aims to activate Egyptians' role abroad participating in the development of their country through projects. A researcher in the field of ste m cells at the Faculty of Medicine at Harvard University, Ahmed Mady, who organized the first annual conference of the “Star of Egypt,” said the conference will host lectures and workshops on December 3 and 4. Mady added the lectures aim to encourage participants to think in creative methods for investments in Egypt. He assured the lectures and workshops will be hosted by representatives of international organizations in Egypt and abroad. Al-Akhbar: Director of new Alexandria Library Ismail Serag el-Din said what is taking place in the library is affected by the general climate of different demands. The workers feel their managers are treating them well. He added he will not travel until he solves the existing problems in the library, pointing out he gives up 25 percent of his salary to the library. In addition, he donated more than 1.2 million EGP to Alexandira Library. He received U.S. $20,000 when he gave a lecture in Holand and donated the entire sum to the library. Al-Masry Al-Youm: The newspaper published a document about the rescue plan of the ‘transitional period,' prepared by a group of political figures, experts and forces. They decided to submit the document to the military council in the next few days. The document included a suggestion of forming a national rescuing government, then elect a constituent committee to implement the new constitution and to elect a new president. It was suggested at the end of the committee, with it the end of the powers of the military council. The legislative elections' procedures will then start according to what is determined by the new constitution. Al-Shorouq: Potential presidential candidate Ahmed Shafiq said in a conference organized by Heliopolis Rotary Club that Egypt needs a firm position to end its problems. Shafiq also called on the state to overcome fear to maintain the state's authority. Shafiq considered himself the best candidate and he said he is able to take over Egypt's affairs in the upcoming period. Al-Gomhorreya: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Salah Yousef released a decision to form committees of agricultural researchers. Researchers would be stationed at the Agricultural Research Center, to follow the work performance in these stations. He also ordered to form a committee to follow the Development and Agricultural Insurance Bank; and another committee to monitor the market of pesticides and fertilizers. The committees should be characterized by judiciary control and belong to the Ministry of Agriculture. Yousef said our aim is to improve the quality and safety of the food.
