Egyptian activists are planning demonstrations in different world capitals in protest against the policies pursued by the ruling military council which demonstrators believe are impeding the real change in Egypt. According to a call adopted by activists in Cairo, about 20 capitals will witness marches against the ruling military council calling it "Global solidarity day to defend Egypt's revolution." The military rulers are accused, by demonstrators, of launching a systematic crackdown on human rights in an attempt to eradicate any political change after overthrowing the former regime. In New York the Occupy Wall Street movement will participate in a demonstration outside the Egyptian mission to the UN to highlight the ordeal of Egyptian activists facing military trials while demanding change. Demonstrators in St Paul's Cathedral are organizing a strike against the arms companies that accompanied British Prime Minister David Cameron during his post January 25 Revolution visit to Egypt. Organizers of Occupy London said in a statement, "If the mainstream media would have us believe that the Egyptian revolution has happened and that the freedom of the Egyptian people is being respected, quite the contrary is true" They also said, "The arms companies we will be visiting and shaming are in bed with Cameron in order to profit from the ongoing repression and murders happening right now in Egypt. These companies are also the ones providing the tools of repression [against] all the solidarity andprotest movements around the world." Reported by: Jack Shenker of the Guardian
