A conference about the intellectual property and economic development

The Academy for Scientific Research and Technology will hold a conference titled "Intellectual Property and its role in the economic development" in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization on Saturday.
Head of the academy Magid al-Sherbini said the conference aims to highlight the role of patent offices to achieve economic development.
He also said the conference will focus on two main issues, the first being the role of patents to achieve economic development and the second to discuss the importance of transferring information technology to achieve technological development.
US Professor Walt Berck is to deliver two lectures during the conference.
