Israeli Dior Chemical Company submitted a request to the Israeli Ministry of Industry and Trade to obtain a governmental aid to establish the first factory to produce methanol from Egypt's natural gas. Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said the factory will be the first of its kind in Israel and will establish in the Negev Desert to produce the methanol from Egypt's natural gas. It will pave the way to establish a factory for a petrochemical industry. The newspaper said the factory is expected to hire about 500 workers with high salaries, including engineers and technicians. The number of workers will increase after developing the sites of work. The newspaper reported they do not know the aids the government will offer to support their project in the upcoming stage.
