The National Bank of Egypt today approved a grant worth U.S. $180 million to the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) to export crude oil to the refineries. The bank agreed last May to grant EGPC U.S. $180 million to provide diesel and U.S. $50 million for butane to support the fledgling energy crisis. The National Bank last April approved credit of up to U.S. $787 million for EGPC, U.S. $600 million of which was allocated to export petroleum products.
