CAIRO: The Free Egyptian Party is discussing the supra-constitutional document presented by Deputy Prime Minister Ali el-Selmy and its amendments, said Ahmed Khairi, a member of the party's political office. Khairi expressed his party's support for establishing a civil state in Egypt that can provide freedom to citizens and not a religious or military state. He criticized the pressure on Selmy by political trends that refuse the document, as well as recent demands from the same trends that Selmy resign or be removed from office. Khairi also expressed his refusal of recent declarations issued by the Salafist al-Nour Party and their threats to organize a peaceful protest and then escalate their protests.
