Cyprus supports returning smuggled funds to Egypt: FM

Irato Kozakou Marcolis, Cyprus's Foreign Minister, confirmed that Cyprus is ready to coordinate with Egypt to locate and return illegal funds belonging to former regime figures in Cypriot banks, at a press conference Wednesday.
Marcolis said a committee from the Egyptian Ministry of Justice will travel to Cyprus next month to seek how to return the funds.
He said Egyptian-Cypriot relations are historical. Marcolis came to Egypt with a delegation of businessmen from the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce to support Egypt through this transitional period.
