Prime Minister Essam Sharaf promoted several officials to new positions. Ayman Gohar was promoted to department head of the Minister of Finance's office. Other promotions included Mahmoud Raga to head of the General Security Department, and Abdel Satar Mohamed Kotb Shalaby as head of Accounting Sector and Financial Directorate. Sharaf designated Mansour Mohammed Abdullah Saleh as the head of Financial Accounts and Mohamed Abdel Fattah the head of the Budget Department.
