CAIRO: The Sharjah Art Gallery at the American University in Cairo (AUC) is presenting an exhibition of experimental animated short videos produced by students. The exhibition, titled ‘Tracing Visions,' opened on October 24 and will close November 2. The multimedia exhibition features the work of students from AUC's Performing and Visual Arts department. The videos are presented with documentation of the students' creative process in the form of text, drawings, collages and digital prints that trace the conceptual development of their project from the initial idea to the final realization. AUC art professor Shady Noshokaty curates the exhibition. He will present an artist talk today, October 31, at 5:00 P.M. Post-rock band ‘Telepoetic' and experimental electronic music artists Dijit and Nada el-Shazly will perform during the closing event on Wednesday, November 2 from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.
