Sharaf meets representatives of lawyers, judges in reconciliation attempt

prime minister, CAIRO: Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf will meet with a number of lawyers and judges in an attempt to reconcile the crisis between the two groups.
Sharaf will meet prominent figures including the head of the Judges Club, Judge Ahmed Al-Zenf, and head of the high judge's council, Judge Hossam al-Gherany, and representatives of lawyers.
Egyptian lawyers and judges have been in disagreement over applying the new Judicial Law, which would give judges the right to override lawyers' immunity. Lawyers object to the law and have held numerous protests against it.
