Nobel prize winning scientist Dr. Ahmed Zewail will give an important speech to the Egyptian people on Egyptian public television Saturday evening. He will explain his views on the political, economic and scientific future of Egypt in the coming stage. Zewail will also describe serious steps to put Egypt on the road to a modern scientific renaissance, discuss his proposal for the creation of a "science city," and the advancement of scientific research. The speech will be broadcast on several satellite channels. After the speech, there will be an open debate amongst Egypt's leading intellectuals and thinkers, led by famous cardiologist Dr. Magdi Yacoub.
