The Jordanian cabinet's reshuffle may delay signing the agreement of reforming Egyptian gas prices, which the Egyptian cabinet agreed upon on Thursday October 20. Sources at the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum said the agreement will be signed after Eid Al-Adha, an important Islamic celebration. The agreement will be applied retrospectively starting in January 2011. Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Mohammed Ghorab assured the new agreement achieves extreme possible use for Egypt. The reform of gas prices includes in exported amounts 253 cubic feet daily. The new price ranges from U.S. $5 or 5.5 per million thermal units, which is tree times more than current price.
