CAIRO: The Egyptian Local Development has prepared the special contracts enabling fired workers at the Information Centers at the Ministry to return to their posts, said Sayyed Imam, spokesman of the fired employees. The contracts were sent to the Central Body for Organization and Management to be revised and documented, after which they will be referred to the information centers at all Egyptian governorates. They will then be signed by the 4,320 fired employees, said Head of the Village Construction and Development Body Ibrahim Rehan. The contracts will be sent in the middle of the week to be signed, and the workers will officially return by next month, Imam added. According to the sixth book of the Employment Law, a company reserves the right to fire employees who have unofficial contracts, thus by signing the official contracts, the employees' allowances will be paid by the State budget, and they will no longer be vulnerable to termination.
