Egyptian author Anis Mansour died today at the age of 87. Mansour recently suffered from pneumonia and acute pain in his back. He was transferred to intensive care because of his bad state of health. In his statement to Youm7 Anis Mansour's office director Nabil Etman said Mansour requested to be buried in his family's cemeteries. Egyptian writer Mohamed Abdel Kudoos assured the deceased author will remain at the hospital until October 22 to complete procedures of his burial papers and death certificate. A funeral prayer will be held on October 22 at 12:00 P.M. at Omar Makram Mosque. It is worth mentioning, Anis Mansour attended the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University in the Philosophy department. He achieved a Bachelor of Arts in 1947 and worked as a professor in the same department at Ain Shams University. He devoted his time to writing and journalism in Al-Akhbar Al-Youm institution then to Al-Ahram newspaper, where he made many publications in creative writing in all its various forms.
