Egyptian opponent figure, Gamal Zahran, said the upcoming parliamentary elections are an illusion. He claims the elections will be similar to the elections of the Egyptian former regime. He added those Egypt authorities now still have not achieved the demands of the Egyptian January 25 Revolution even after eight months of the revolution. Zahran said he did not run for elections because the election system is cracked and depends on funds. He added most political parties asked Egypt's ruling military council to apply a closed list system for the incoming elections. The military council however applied a mixed system against political forces. Zharan also said the electoral system must be known by every citizen. In Britain, the electoral system was not applied until 15 months passed and each British citizen could understand it well. He suggested canceling the Shura Council elections and holding the People's Assembly elections only. He also claimed to speed up issuing the political exclusion law and the Law of Treachery.
