CAIRO: Likely Egyptian presidential candidate and Deputy Head of the Court of Cassation Hisham el-Bastawisi today declined an invitation to participate in a conference on the January 25 Revolution in Washington, which will be held for potential presidential candidates and other politicians. The conference, which will be held from October 21 to October 23, will be titled,” Road to Democracy and Economic Development.” El-Bastawisi refused to participate because of the ambiguity of the invitation itself and the fact that the organizers did not mention the other participants, Youm7 learned recently. El-Bastawisi also does not have time to attend a conference in Washington, it was reported. El-Bastawisi also traveled to Kuwait in September on an Arabic tour to visit Egyptians living abroad. He is also continuing his work as a chancellor in Kuwait.
