Administrative Judiciary Court delayed legal proceedings calling for expatriate voting to a hearing on Oct. 22 Tuesday. The head of Union of Egyptians abroad, Essam Abdel Moneim, filed a case against the chairman of the High Elections Committee (HEC), the Head of Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF), the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Interior. They called for building electoral headquarters in Egyptian Embassies abroad to enable Egyptians abroad to vote. They said the SCAF promised more than once to achieve the dream of Egyptians abroad, which is their right to vote in the elections. The filers of the complaint said depriving expatriate Egyptians of their right to vote is considered a violation to the Constitutional Declaration, to Law, and to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
