The Qatari government is holding negotiations with Israel regarding natural gas after the Egyptian-Israeli natural gas pipeline once again suffered an attack. Israel is making preparations to receive Qatari liquid natural gas carriers, including the construction of large capacity tanks, sources said. Qatar recently expanded its production of liquid natural gas, and it intends to increase its natural gas development projects. Total liquid gas production in Qatar recently reached 10 million tons. It is expected to increase to 12 million tons by 2015. Israel reportedly loses 6 million Shekels (U.S. $1.64 million) daily due to the suspension of Egyptian natural gas exporting.
