Imams of the Ministry of Religious Endowments decided to suspend their protests due to clashes that occurred in Cairo Sunday. The Imams said they agreed to hold meetings with the Minister of Religious Endowments, Mohammed Abdel Fadil al-Qawsi, inside the ministry. They said these meetings would be held to take actions regarding their demands. The minister said he appreciated their decision to not demonstrate. The Imams' demands are to reform the bonus system, to quickly declare union advocates, cleanse the ministry of corruption, and to choose scholarships abroad according to skill and efficiency.
