CAIRO: Permanent Committee of the Egyptian Archeology will allow foreign archeological missions to restore several monuments and sites around Egypt. Several foreign archeological missions will do the restorations, including from the Polish Archeological Center, the German Archeological Institute, the University of Pisa, the Center for Archaeological Studies in Madrid, and the University of Basel. The missions will restore and document the courtyard in Queen Hatshepsut's Deir el-Bahari, Hathor's seat, small statues of sphinx belonging to Hatshepsut, and other statues discovered last century. The missions will record and restore tombs in the Zeraa Abu el-Naga area of Luxor. They will also implement a plan for workers housing in the Valley of the Kings. The missions also will study human and animal remains unearthed in unmarked tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Japan's Waseda University, Yale University, the U.S. Research Center, the French Institute for Eastern Archeology, Warsaw University, and Belgium's Louvain University will restore the tomb of Amenhotep III in the Valley of the Kings. The missions will also complete restorations in the Mualla area between Luxor and Edfu, and the Temple of Khonsu at Karnak.
