CAIRO: Cairo's famous Moez el-Din Allah Fatimid street, filled with archaeological wonders from the Fatimid period, is preparing to receive an international tourist festival. The festival is organized by the ministries of tourism and culture and the Supreme Council for Antiquities. “Moez Street is one of the most important monuments in Historic Cairo. This festival aims to reactivate tourism in Egypt,” said Gamal Mostafa, the director of the archaeological and historical organization of Cairo, in exclusive statement to Youm7. Mostafa said the festival is still being organized and the idea is to promote tourism on the streets of Egypt. Mostafa said the ministries of tourism and culture will hold meetings in to determine the date of the festival and its program and activities.
