Egyptian presidential candidate Mohamed Selim al-Awa said last session of the trial of former Egyptian President Hosni Muabark was marred by some errors relating to the procedures. The defendants and the plaintiffs weren't able to question chairman of Egypt's ruling military council, Hussein Tantawi, during his testimony as the session started on time, Al-Awa told Al-Hayah Al-Youm program. Al-Awa criticized preventing the plaintiffs from questioning Tantawi as a witness; the defense has the right to ask the witness any number of questions. He resented the police's attack upon plaintiffs, describing it as a “great insult." He requested to provide all guarantees to enable plaintiffs, martyr's families and the injured to attend the trial.
