CAIRO: Thousands of teachers protested outside the headquarters of Egypt's cabinet today, hanging banners on the walls and buildings beside it. They also set up metal barricades to prevent the flow of cars in the street. Protesters moved in several marches holding banners that said, "The teacher is the origin of civilization." Protesters are asking for a minimum and maximum wage for teachers as well as the resignation of the Minister of Education. Many teachers came from various governments to join the marches.
