Egyptian presidential candidate Mohamed el-Baradei's supporters and grass-root activists in Alexandria launched a campaign in solidarity with Palestinians. They support their legitimate demands in being recognized as the State of Palestine through the UN. They intend to hold a demonstration after the Friday prayers on September 23 in front of el-Kaa'ed Ibrahim Mosque. The campaign is also meant to be a “warning” to the U.S, who may consider vetoing the decision to recognize the Palestinian state. The campaign intends to honor the martyrs of Sabra, Shatila, Qana, the Gaza strip and the Egyptian-Israeli borders.
