The report was published by the Israeli newspaper Maariv and said Israeli exports to Europe fell by 14.3 percent during the months of June and August of 2011. The decline was due to the economic crisis that swept most European countries. According to the report of the Central Bureau of Statistics, exports in the field of technology, which represents 47 percent of the value of Israel's industrial exports, fell by 20.6 percent during the past three months. The value of exports in the field of pharmaceuticals also declined during the past two months by 22.2 percent. Exports of electronics and vehicles dropped sharply by 41.7 percent during the past two months.
