Egyptian investors in 6 October City, a suburb of greater Cairo, are calling to increase the amount of industrial land in the governorate. “The industrial land provided by the Industrial Development Authority does not cover investors' needs because investors want to enlarge their investments,” said Magdy Abdel Monem, deputy director of the 6 October Investors Association. “The authority must create a new plan for industrial land,” said Monem. Monem added many factory owners in the industrial region did not receive land. The authority did not add new land to the industrial region, but re-offered the lands that had been taken back from unserious investors. “The association is preparing to host Egypt's minister of Foreign Trade and Industry, Mahmud Eissa, in order to claim more industrial lands for investors,” said Monem.
