Children's Theater Festival kicks off

CAIRO: Saad Abdel Rahman, head of the General Authority of Culture Palaces, inaugurated the eighth session of the Children's Theater Festival in the Cairo neighborhood of Garden City Sunday.
Abdel Rahman and other poets will deliver speeches at the festival's kick off celebration, in which children will put on theater productions.
More than 17,000 EGP (U.S. $2,800) in prizes will be awarded to plays.
The festival will last until September 16.
