Egyptian Minister of Information Osama Heikal announced this afternoon that all Emergency Law Articles are now reactivated. He added that Egypt is bound by the obligations enshrined in international treaties to protect embassies in Egyptian territory and honor all international diplomatic delegations and agreements. Heikal also claimed that political powers and the media will have to face losing their security in Egypt. Egyptian security will thwart all threats to stability by legal means. The Egyptian Cabinet and the ruling military council today held an emergency meeting in the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense.
