LUXOR, Egypt: Youm7 recently toured the Bahaa Taher Culture Palace, named after the prominent Egyptian novelist, and witnessed preparations underway for the grand opening of the palace. The opening of the palace was originally scheduled for February 22 but was later postponed. The palace sits on a 1500-meter footprint and is divided into two parts. The ground floor holds the Egyptian Writers' Union Branch, a conference hall with a 150-person capacity, three bedrooms, a reception room, a restroom and a kitchen. The main floor has administrative rooms, a children's hall, a library and a hall for authors. The main yard of the palace has stairs leading to the ground floor leading to both the ground and top floors.
