CAIRO: Egyptian Supply Commodities Authority signed a contract to purchase 300,000 tons of wheat from Russia and Kazakhstan yesterday. 120,000 tons of wheat were bought. They cost U.S. $291.50 per ton. 60,000 thousand tons of barley cost U.S. $289.70 per ton. 60,000 tons cost $291 per ton. Other 60,000 tons of Kazakhstani wheat cost $291 per ton. It is scheduled wheat will be provided to Egyptian Supply Commodities Authority on November 11 until November 20. The Minister of Social Justice and Solidarity, Gouda Abdel Khalik, formed a committee to check seeds for integrity and assure the seeds apply the ideal standards. The Egyptian Minister of Social Justice and Solidarity imports about six million tons of seeds annually from many countries like France, Australia, Russia and Kazakhstan in order to cover the deficit in national seeds production.
