The main Egyptian stock indexes today made gains in the morning session, buoyed by foreign and Arab purchasing. Most Egyptian transactions were sell-offs. Total money transaction eclipsed 59.4 million EGP (U.S. $) The main EGX30 stock index picked up 0.26 percent while the EGX70 and EGX100 both retreated by a meager 0.03 percent. Many blue-chip stocks made gains early, including Agwaa, up 3.3 percent, Orascom for Construction, up 0.48 percent, Egyptian Telecom, up 1.3 percent, Ezz Steel, up 0.34 percent, Hermes, up 1.1 percent, Qalaa, up 1.5 percent and Talaat Mostafa, up 1.5 percent.
