CAIRO: The Free Egyptians Party has called fore regulations to ban the use of mosques and churches in the electoral propaganda either for or against a candidate. The party warned against using religion to influence voters. The Party stressed on the importance of banning the mix between politics and religion. “The Ministry of Awqaf and Egyptian churches should work as official religious institutions to maintain the worship houses' prestige,” a member of the political bureau in the party Mohamed Hamed said. He added politics is an output of human interpretation open for discussion according to various beliefs or different political trends. Hamed ensured mixing religion and politics puts national unity and Egyptian stability at risk.
