CAIRO: The Syrian community in Egypt called for all Egyptian political and revolutionary forces to participate in the campaign ‘Support Syria' week. “The Syrian community coordinated with many political activists and public personnel who will arrive in Cairo soon, in order to participate in the Syrian campaign,” said a former opposition party parliamentary, Mohamed Maamon. He said the campaign will be during September 8 until September 13. The campaign will include protests in front of the Syrian embassy and the Arab League headquarters in Egypt. Protestors will call for Arab states to interfere and stop the bloodshed in Syria, dismiss the Syrian ambassador in each country, freeze Syria membership in the Arab League, break relations with Bashar al-Assad's regime and impose an air ban to prevent Syria from exporting weapons from Iran. The campaign will also coordinate with Egyptian and international press and media. The campaign will activate conferences and seminars presenting the Syrian case to Arab and international public opinion. The campaign does not aim to gain sympathy but aims to stop blood shed in Syria. Syrian comminutes will present an official request to the UN to interfere if this conference does not achieve their demands.
