CAIRO: Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Salem will attend the sixth meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) at the United Nations headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting, which will last three days beginning September 27 adopted the slogan: "The Internet is a stimulus for change: more communication, development, freedom and creativity." The IGF aims to elevate the status of people facing challenging circumstances. The year's IGF program will focus on how to benefit from experts attending the forum by sharing points of view and exploring new ideas. Development is the IGF's priority. Attendants will discuss different ways that Internet governance can hasten development. Moreover, the forum will discuss security, open source programming, and privacy. Attendants will tackle topics concerning cross-border Internet governance. The meeting will also talk about procedures related to security breaches, domain names, and withholding websites.
