The level of Nile water in front of the High Dam increased on Thursday. On the previous Sunday, the water level was 166.32 meters but increased by 6 centimeters, and resulted in 172.32 meters on Thursday. Lake Nasser reached 462 million cubic meters, a new record since the increase yesterday, according to a report by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation. He added the amount of water behind the High Dam reached 180 million cubic meters while the total amount of water rose to 12.928 billion meters during August. This increase in the level of the Nile is natural since it is currently in the flood season. The amount allotted by the ministry is sufficient to meet agricultural, industrial, civilian needs and to generate electrical energy required for Egypt.
