The family and supporters of Omar Abdel Rahman organized a strike in front of the U.S embassy in Cairo and demanded the Egyptian scientists, Ahmed Zuweil, and Dalia Megahed to interfere and pressure the U.S Administration to release the imprisoned sheikh. Omar Abdel Rahman's son requested different powers and political trends in Egypt to pray the Eid al-Fetr prayer in front of the U.S. embassy in Cairo. He pointed out stressed the strike will continue until his father is released.
