The Ministry of Interior denied kidnapping Mahmoud Shaaban of the National Campaign to Support Mohamed el-Baradei and Khaled Talima of The Revolution's Youth Coalition. The activist Mahmoud Shaaban reported to the General Prosecutor of Alexandria that unknown men from the Ministry of Interior took him to undisclosed location and questioned him about the campaign. The Ministry of Interior was also blamed for the disappearance of the activist Khaled Taleema. “The Ministry of Interior did not take any illegal actions toward political activists or any other Egyptian citizen. No citizens are arrested unless there is a prior authorization by the prosecution. There is always a report with an arrest when the arrested person is transferred to the public prosecution for legal procedures. There is always a commitment to human rights and the law,” said a source from the Ministry of Interior.
