Libyan rebels in Tripoli stormed the house of Aisha Gadhafi, the daughter of the embattled Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi, reported Al-Jazeera news. Rebels managed to liberate most of the outlying regions surrounding the capital Tripoli after fierce fighting with Gadhafi loyalists, Al-Jazeera reported. The rebels announced earlier in the day that they had liberated thousands of political prisoners from the Gadeeda Prison in Tripoli. Libyan Intelligence Director Abdallah al-Senoussi fled to the southern part of the country and the Minister of Finance fled to the western mountains, the rebels reported. “The rebels are taking over the capital and it seems that Gadhafi's end is close, perhaps a matter of hours,” reported a French radio station. The international news agency CNN reported sarcastically on Gadhafi's most recent speech to Libyans, quoting “The rebels! They are destroying the air conditioners!” Gadhafi urged his loyal troops and sympathizers to “go forward, go forward, don't give up.”
