The Mubarak's Sons Union issued a statement criticizing the clashes during Mubarak's trial on Monday between the opponents and supporters of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. They criticized the media, which ruins their image in front of Egyptians. They refuse insulting the symbols of Egypt, Mubarak. The statement included four main messages to Egyptians; media, judiciary, the military council and Ministry of Interior. The Union demands what it calls the silent majority, a message to Egyptians, to express their positive opinion to prevent turning Egypt into a new Iraq in the region. They warned of sinister plans aiming to force Egypt to abandon its identity and position in the region. They demanded the court to commit to justice and deal with Mubarak's trial, confirming future generations will remember Mubarak's trial. The Union also demanded the media to be neutral in dealing with details of the trial, bearing it a responsibility of the clashes between the supporters and opponents of Mubarak. They added the freedom the media currently benefits from is a result of policies adopted by the former regime. They also called for Egypt's ruling military council and the Ministry of Interior to secure the trials. They are considering submitting complaints against those who assaulted them in front of the Police Academy. They demanded Tahrir demonstrators to express their opinions peacefully without provoking or violent clashes.
